How To Work With Subsections In Supercede
Supercede allows you to organise your reinsurance data into two different levels; sections and subsections.
Sections: Higher level categories, often related to locations or classes of business.
Subsections: More detailed, providing greater flexibility for organising your data.
Both sections and subsections are set when determining your pack structure, usually during or right before the first data upload.
See here how to set up your pack structure.
1. Combining Subsections
Across all exhibits, you can combine or split out subsections. Tick the boxes to select which data you would like to see. Click Apply at the bottom to update the data in the profile. Collapse the subsection selection using the grey button on the upper-righthand corner.
2. Subsections And YoY Comparisons
For packs with different subsections, the platform indicates which of them contain data. This is useful for Year on Year comparisons. Below is an example of a pack structure and screenshots of the subsections in the platform for the applicable pack.

Subsections: Auto, Property
Renewal pack:
Subsections: Auto, Property, Liability
3. Subsections And Filters
Filters set in the Settings apply to all subsections.
When filters are applied to your stacks, only the filtered policies will be shown in your exhibit, meaning a stack will be broken up into its individual policies.
4. Subsections And Stacking
The same as for the filters, in the subsection selection for the stacks, only the underlying policies of your selected subsections will be displayed.

Care should be taken when creating profiles that contain stacks from multiple subsections.
The stacked limit, attachment, or exposure values shown may differ from the actual stacked limits because of your selected subsections.
