How To Apply Filters To Your Policy Bordereau Data Set
You have the option to set filters to determine which policies to include in your analysis of the policy bordereau exhibit. These can be applied to a previously created pack or in line with creating a new pack. Follow the steps below to apply filters to an existing pack or click on the link below to see how to create a new pack.
1. Accessing Packs List
On the home screen, select Packs.
2. Selecting Pack
From the list, select the pack which holds the data you would like to set a filter for.
3. Accessing Filters
Within the pack, navigate to the Policy Bordereau exhibit.
In the menu bar on the left, select Filters.
4. Setting Filters
There are four toggle options available:
Enable
Include matching record
Exclude matching record
Apply after stacking
Enable
The Enable toggle needs to be on for the filters to be applied. It allows you to quickly switch between applying and unapplying filters, without losing the filter criteria.
Include matching record
For this option, only policies that meet the filter criteria will be included.
To set up a filter, selection from the drop downs and add the criteria needed. Delete filters by clicking the red 'x' next to it. Once set, click Apply at the bottom.
A banner will display in the profiles indicating filters are active.
Exclude matching records
For this option, policies which meet the criteria will be excluded.
To set up a filter, selection from the drop downs and add the criteria needed. Delete filters by clicking the red 'x' next to it. Once set, click Apply at the bottom.
A banner will display in the profiles indicating filters are active.
Apply after stacking
For this option, a stack will be considered instead of the individual policies. This is useful in case where the stack should be considered a single risk.
For a stack with two individual policies with a limit of 500k, the below setting would not result in the stack being excluded.
The stack would be excluded if the Apply after stacking box is ticked, as both policies together equal a limit of 1m.
5. Using And / Or Function
For all criteria marked with Or only one of the given criteria needs to be met for the policy to be included / excluded.
The And criteria indicates all given criteria need to be met for the policy to be included / excluded.
Example
For the above screenshot all of the policies meeting the following criteria will be excluded:
1.)
100% Gross Aggregate Limit < 7m
100% Attachment Original Currency < 1
Inception Date is not 2023
