How To Create And Manage Attachment Profiles In Supercede
Follow the below steps to create, update and manage attachment profiles seamlessly within the platform. The profile can be configured to suit your needs, from changing profile bandings to different attachment types.
1. Accessing Attachment Profile
Open the Supercede Homepage and click on the Packs widget to access your Pack List.
Select the pack you would like to create a limit profile for by clicking on its title and select Policy Bordereau.
Select Attachment Profile from the menu on the left.
2. Selecting Subsection
Across the top of the profile, select the subsections you would like to view data for.
Select Apply to confirm selection.
See here for more information on the subsection selection.
3. Setting Bandings
To set up a limit profile for the first time, you will need to set set the bandings. Before the initial set-up, no profiles will display.
Enter numeric values using thousands (k), millions (m), billions (b) or trillions (t). The profile and bandings will appear automatically. Decimals are not supported.
4. Attachment Base and Metric
Once the bandings are set, you can set the Attachment Base and the Metric via the grey drop downs.
Attachment Base
The attachment base is the variable which displays the type of attachment:
- Aggregate
- Occurence
Metric
The metric gives different options for analysing your data.
- Policy Count
- Gross Written Premium
- Net Written Premium
5. Applying Stacks
By toggling on Apply Stacks, the results of your stacks will be applied to the profile, reducing the number of policies.
See here how to work with the stacks detector.
6. No Line Size
Unlike other profiles, in the attachment profile there is no option to display the cedent share. This is because the attachment represents the insurer’s portion of the cover that's provided, so by definition it will always be the cedent's share.
7. Viewing Underlying Data
Clicking on values with a dotted border will allow you to see all of the underlying data that is aggregated within each band.
Use the scroll bar at the bottom to shift to the right of the table and navigate through the pages by clicking on the page number or the arrows.
Go back to the attachment profile by clicking the Back to Attachment Profile in the upper lefthand corner.
