How to create a new deal layer in Supercede
1. Creating a layer
Create a layer by clicking New Layer in the middle of the screen or the + button on the right side of the page.
2. Entering layer details
Enter the layer name. Click Next.
Select whether the deal is proportional or non proportional. Click Next.
For non-proportional deals, select the type of deal. Click Finish.
The layer will be created and you'll be taken to the layer builder screen.
As per the menu in the upper lefthand corner, there are four sections to be completed in a layer:
- General - All high level information pertaining to the layer such as UMR, Order, Brokerage %.
- Coverage - The limits and excesses pertaining to the deal.
- Products - All lines of business covered.
- Pricing Features - All pricing factors such as rates, reinstatements etc.
General
This section includes the following information:
- Contract no. UMR
- Order %
- Reinsurance period
- Reinsured basis
- Subject premium income and basis
- Brokerage
- Lloyd's risk codes
- Territorial scope (Included and excluded territories)
Coverage
This section includes the following information:
- Programme level features
- Layer level features
- Limits
- Excesses
- Warranties
- Retentions
Coverages can be entered in multiple currencies for multi-currency placements.
Products
Product details are initially defined at the deal level. In this section, the following info can be updated without impacting the original deal level settings or other layers.
- Products / Line(s) of business for the layer
- Sub limits covered by the layer
- Premium for the layer
- Perils for the layer
- Territorial scope for the layer
Pricing Features
This step is optional during the initial layer creation stage.
The pricing features presented will depend on the reinsurance contract type (Proportional or Non Proportional).
Click Edit on each pricing feature to add the relevant pricing information or commission amount.
Pricing features can be continually added or amended as the deal progresses through the quote and FOT stages.
